Account Executive – Financial Services (Remote)

Are you a seasoned sales and account management professional with a knack for building deep relationships within the financial services sector? Do you thrive on identifying opportunities and driving strategic growth within key accounts? MeridianLink invites you to join our team as a Remote Account Executive, focusing on empowering Credit Unions, Banks, and Finance Companies with our leading SaaS solutions.

In this pivotal role, you won’t just manage accounts; you’ll be a strategic partner and influencer. You will craft and execute joint business plans with your clients, collaboratively exploring innovative ways to leverage MeridianLink’s core products for maximum impact. Your mission is to not only meet but exceed customer expectations, driving significant growth through upselling and cross-selling while ensuring an exceptional experience.

What You’ll Do

Shape Strategic Account Growth

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive strategic plans for your assigned portfolio. Build and nurture strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders, acting as their go-to advisor. Proactively understand client challenges and objectives to identify new business opportunities and areas for partnership. Focus on client retention and satisfaction as key drivers of long-term success.

Drive Revenue & Achieve Targets

Present the compelling value of MeridianLink’s offerings to our existing customer base. Partner closely with internal teams to navigate the sales cycle and close valuable expansion opportunities. Take ownership of meeting and exceeding individual activity, prospecting, and revenue targets aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Constantly seek ways to improve input metrics that contribute to both business growth and enhanced customer experience.

Operate with Excellence & Collaborate

Demonstrate exceptional time management and the ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, remote environment. Drive results by collaborating seamlessly across various internal functions. Identify opportunities to refine tools and processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a deep understanding of MeridianLink’s products, the competitive landscape, and industry trends. Leverage our sales tech stack, including Salesforce, Gong, Clari, and Outreach, to meticulously track activities, manage your pipeline, and forecast accurately.

What You’ll Bring

Your Expertise

While a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, it’s not required. What truly matters is your track record. You should possess a proven background in business development and lead generation. Experience working in sales or account management specifically with Credit Unions, Banks, or Finance Companies is highly preferred and will set you up for success in understanding our target market.

Your Skillset

You consistently fill your pipeline and drive revenue opportunities. You are highly perceptive and skilled at connecting with diverse personalities. You are a masterful communicator and engaging presenter. Your negotiation and closing skills are exceptional. You are highly self-motivated, results-driven, and possess a strong work ethic and unwavering integrity.
