We’re searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to support our team’s benefit programs and provide exceptional service to our valued team members. If you’re a problem-solver with a passion for helping others and thrive in a remote environment, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do as a Benefits Specialist:

As a vital part of our team, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Benefits Administration: Managing team member benefits programs, including health, wellness, life, and disability plans. Coordinate with Payroll/HRIS and Leave Administrator to ensure accuracy.
  • Team Member Support: Providing excellent customer service and guidance to team members regarding benefits inquiries, including health insurance, retirement, and leave policies.
  • Financial Operations: Processing and auditing benefit invoices, managing wellness fund reimbursements, and identifying cost-effective benefit solutions.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA).
  • Leave Management: Supporting leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves) and collaborating with third-party administrators.

What You Need to Succeed:

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in benefits and leave administration, with demonstrated knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other state/federal leave laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulations and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to manage sensitive team member situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and make sound decisions.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Core Competencies:

  • Benefits Expertise: Understanding of health & welfare plan design, operations, and compliance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and other applicable laws.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000. Your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
