The Opportunity: Your Role as a Content Migration Specialist

As our Content Migration Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of new website implementations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and SEO-optimized content population within various CMS platforms. Working closely with project managers, designers, and content strategists, you’ll skillfully migrate content – from compelling copy and engaging images to essential metadata – from legacy sites or detailed intake documents into beautifully crafted new property websites.

This position is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who possess a deep understanding of website structure, a knack for problem-solving, and a discerning eye for clean, accessible content.

Key Responsibilities: Your Impact

• Meticulously review content migration plans and intake documents to pinpoint necessary assets and copy.
• Expertly populate website content (including text, images with alt text, SEO metadata, PDFs, and links) into diverse CMS platforms like WordPress and our proprietary CMS.
• Ensure content is strategically placed, aligning with brand guidelines, accessibility best practices, and SEO recommendations.
• Maintain impeccable consistency in formatting, styling, and page structure across all migrated pages.
• Thoroughly QA migrated content on staging sites to identify and rectify typos, broken links, or styling inconsistencies.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers to track progress, meet critical launch deadlines, and proactively address any potential blockers.
• Provide assistance with light content formatting, basic HTML/CSS adjustments, and file optimization as needed.
• Optional: Leverage the power of AI tools like ChatGPT to streamline alt-text creation, meta description optimization, or other content preparation tasks.

Qualifications: What You’ll Bring to the Table

• 1–3 years of proven experience in content migration, website content entry, or CMS operations.
• Familiarity with at least one content management system (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, etc.).
• Exceptional organizational skills and unwavering attention to detail when managing substantial volumes of content.
• A solid understanding of SEO best practices, including title tags, meta descriptions, and alt text.
• Practical knowledge of website structures, accessibility guidelines (WCAG/ADA), and responsive design principles.
• Comfort and proficiency in using task-tracking tools (e.g., Asana, JIRA, Trello) and content intake tools (e.g., Google Docs, Airtable).
• Bonus: Experience utilizing ChatGPT or other generative AI tools for content creation and editing.
