The Opportunity: Content Strategist
Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for cybersecurity? As our Content Strategist, you’ll be the architect of our content program, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with our target audiences, establish us as thought leaders, and showcase our deep cybersecurity expertise. You’ll own our content calendar, lead messaging development, and collaborate with subject matter experts to bring Blackpoint’s unique perspective to the market through various content formats. Your work will shape our brand voice, fuel our demand generation and customer marketing efforts, and build awareness across our partner ecosystem.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and Execute Content Strategy: Create and oversee a comprehensive content strategy aligned with company goals, go-to-market initiatives, and key industry trends.
- Manage Content Calendar and Production: Plan, manage, and maintain the content calendar, mapping content needs across funnel stages, personas, and channels, and coordinating the production and release of various content pieces.
- Optimize for Discoverability: Ensure content strategy and execution are optimized for SEO/AEO/GEO, embedding these principles into planning, creation, and measurement.
- Create Engaging Content: Develop short-form communications, blog copy, web content, and social media posts to support awareness and demand generation.
- Lead Long-Form Content Creation: Spearhead the development of high-quality long-form content, including blogs, white papers, eBooks, case studies, and thought leadership pieces, that reinforce our brand and educate the market.
- Own the Editorial Process: Proofread, copyedit, and ensure brand consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all channels.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product marketing, demand gen, sales, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to align content initiatives with business priorities.
- Build Scalable Content Processes: Develop content briefs, editorial workflows, SEO optimization practices, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Evolve Brand Voice: Develop and refine a distinct brand voice and narrative that differentiates Blackpoint Cyber in the market.
- Drive Thought Leadership: Bring strong POVs and thought leadership to the content strategy function, influencing the broader marketing roadmap.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, ideally within the cybersecurity or B2B SaaS space.
- Proven success in developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness.
- Exceptional skills in both long-form and short-form content creation.
- Strong editorial judgment and experience structuring narratives and maintaining consistency across channels.
- A persuasive storytelling ability, capable of tailoring messaging for varied audiences and collaborating with subject matter experts.
- Experience managing content calendars, editorial workflows, and multi-channel distribution.
- (Bonus) Prior experience writing for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), resellers, or other cybersecurity-focused audiences.
- (Bonus) Background in product or partner marketing.
