We’re seeking a talented and driven Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Specialist to join our dynamic global KIM team, based in the UK and India. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our engineers and technical experts have seamless access to the information they need to deliver exceptional results for our clients. Role Overview

As a KIM Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing our access to vital technical resources. Your primary focus will be on ensuring copyright compliance, managing access to subscriptions, and promoting awareness of our knowledge base. You’ll collaborate closely with our library team, AI specialists, and technical professionals to create a seamless and efficient information ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Copyright & Confidentiality Management: Develop and implement curation processes to ensure compliance with copyright laws and protect client confidentiality. This includes drafting internal guidelines, improving curation processes, educating engineers on copyright best practices, and creating procedures to check documents for confidential information.
• Subscription Resource Promotion: Proactively promote awareness of our valuable engineering subscription resources (including codes, standards, and e-books). Develop comprehensive guides, integrate resources into internal systems, and organize training sessions to ensure our staff can fully leverage these tools.
• Library Team Collaboration: Support our UK-based library manager in managing online subscriptions, negotiating with publishers, tracking usage, and managing user access. Collaborate with the global library team to respond to user queries and stay informed about relevant industry standards and technical content.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in library management, subscription management, or copyright compliance in a professional setting.
• Strong understanding of copyright law in corporate environments.
• Proven ability to write and implement copyright and confidentiality policies.
• Experience managing external subscriptions and renewals in a business environment.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with major publishers and platforms relevant to the engineering industry (e.g., Accuris, Emerald, Knovel).
• Ability to review client contracts to understand content sharing restrictions.
• Experience managing Microsoft SharePoint pages, document libraries, and lists.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Library & Information Science, Information Management, Legal, or a related field or relevant experience.
• Higher degree or certifications in copyright law (preferred).
