We’re seeking a talented Fractional Creative Director to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and narrative identity of Wonder’s exciting slate of films and series. This is more than just a management role; it’s an opportunity to bring stories to life through stunning creative, define our aesthetic, and build a powerful brand presence that resonates deeply with viewers.

You’ll be the driving force behind the look and feel of our marketing efforts, overseeing everything from initial concept through final execution. What You’ll Do (Your Impact)

As our Fractional Creative Director, you will:

  • Lead the conception, development, and execution of compelling creative assets for comprehensive marketing campaigns across paid media, social platforms, email, push notifications, PR, print, events, and our website. This includes graphics, video, copy, and more.
  • Guide the creation of high-impact corporate communication materials, such as presentations, reports, interactive decks, and physical assets for events, ensuring brand consistency and polish.
  • Build and nurture relationships with external creative partners – from agencies to freelancers and vendors – ensuring they deliver excellence that aligns with project requirements, quality standards, and overall business objectives.
  • Ignite innovation by establishing and leading dynamic ideation sessions (“blue-sky thinking”) that inspire fresh concepts while producing actionable next steps for execution.
  • Champion and evolve our brand style guide and voice, ensuring consistency and impact across all touchpoints.
  • Architect efficient creative brief and review processes to ensure project specs are clearly defined upfront and final deliverables consistently exceed expectations.
  • Strategically manage budgets and resource allocation for external creative partners, meticulously tracking costs against deliverables to maximize value.
  • Optimize and streamline our creative production workflow, defining best practices to manage asset development across multiple, high-priority projects efficiently.
  • Serve as a collaborative partner across multiple marketing functions (community/social, paid media, partnerships, film/series teams, PR/comms), actively listening to needs, offering inspiring creative solutions, and delivering output that elevates the entire brand.

Who You Are (Your Profile)

The ideal candidate is a creative powerhouse with proven leadership:

  • You bring a wealth of experience – 8+ years in creative roles within advertising or marketing, specifically rooted in streaming, film, TV, or enterprise content environments.
  • Crucially, you have 4+ years in a creative leadership role, successfully guiding and mentoring teams and managing creative processes.
  • Your leadership is inspiring, and your communication is exceptional. You excel at fostering collaboration and building consensus across diverse internal and external teams (agencies, designers, writers, producers, etc.).
  • You have a proven track record of leading successful creative work across key disciplines like design, copywriting, and video production.
  • Storytelling is in your DNA – not just creating compelling narratives for audiences, but also inspiring and influencing internal and external partners to produce their absolute best work.
  • You have an impeccable eye for design and a knack for creating work that delights audiences and stands out.
  • You are proficient with industry-standard creative tools and workflows.
  • You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and approach change with resilience and a positive outlook.
  • Highly organized with robust project management skills, including the ability to prioritize effectively, manage timelines, and allocate resources strategically across competing demands.
  • You possess a strategic mindset, always thinking ahead and translating market trends and insights into innovative, compelling creative solutions.
  • A strong creative portfolio showcasing your leadership, strategic thinking, and range across relevant media is essential and will be requested.

The Opportunity & Details

This is a 6-month contract engagement, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our brand and content marketing during a key growth period.

  • Total compensation for the 6-month term is $73,000 (equivalent to approximately $12,000 per month).
  • This is a full-time-equivalent contract role with flexible hours. While we expect consistent, high-quality output and timely delivery, we value the results you produce over rigid working hours.
