The Opportunity: Season Pass Narrative Specialist

As our Creative Writer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the narrative landscape of our upcoming Season Pass. This remote, contract position offers the chance to weave captivating storylines, develop memorable characters, and craft engaging dialogue that deepens player immersion and reinforces the season’s core theme.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing compelling storylines, character arcs, and lore for the Season Pass.
• Writing engaging dialogue that brings characters to life.
• Collaborating closely with Product Leads to ensure narrative alignment with gameplay mechanics and seasonal objectives.
• Rapidly iterating on story concepts, incorporating feedback to refine your work.
• Delivering polished scripts and comprehensive narrative documentation within established deadlines.
• Maintaining consistency in tone, style, and themes, reflecting the Pocket Worlds brand and meeting player expectations.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a passionate and skilled storyteller with:

• A strong background in creative writing, narrative design, or screenwriting (experience in games, TV, comics, or interactive media is highly desirable).
• A proven ability to create characters, themes, and story arcs that resonate with a broad audience.
• Comfort and agility in a fast-paced, iterative environment; a willingness to embrace feedback and continuously improve your craft.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing your narrative work (short stories, scripts, dialogue, narrative game design, etc.).
