The Opportunity: Shape Our Data Landscape

As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining and maintaining our data architecture, ensuring that the right data is accessible to the right people at the right time. You will work closely with our Data Engineering team and stakeholders to design scalable and adaptable solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is crucial for enabling us to better serve our clients, customers, and achieve our ambitious growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain the reference data architecture for new business features and projects.
• Communicate the architecture effectively to stakeholders, ensuring understanding and adherence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the data aspects of our services.
• Assist the Lead Data Engineer in making critical implementation decisions.
• Support the design and implementation of technology solutions from a data perspective.
• Establish data standards, guidelines, and documentation for ZigZag, ensuring compliance and consistency.
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Provide support in ensuring third-party providers and partners meet our data standards and policies.
• Contribute to both high-level architectural planning and implementation.
• Evaluate appropriate data tools and technologies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Experience leveraging cloud-based big data systems such as Databricks or Snowflake and data integration tools like Airbyte.
• Understanding of Database Management tools such as SQL Server and Azure Data Factory.
• Proven ability to design scalable and efficient Data Structures, ensuring seamless data flow and integration.
• Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to contribute to the strategic alignment between enterprise, systems, data architecture, and business objectives.
• Proactive and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers, stakeholders, and third-party providers.
• Knowledge of data standards, policies, and regulations to maintain data quality, security, and compliance.
• Exposure to Data Visualization Tools like Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum, Azure DevOps, iterative development).
