About the Role: Data Engineering Manager

As our Data Engineering Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our data-driven decision-making. You’ll lead the design and development of robust and scalable data pipelines that power our analytical products, from insightful dashboards to intelligent recommendation engines. This is an opportunity to shape our data architecture, collaborate with brilliant minds, and mentor the next generation of data engineers.

Your Impact:

• Design and implement scalable, real-time, and batch data pipelines to support a variety of analytical products.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business teams to build APIs and data services that expose data and machine learning models to internal and external stakeholders.
• Architect and build the backend infrastructure for our advanced analytics platforms using cutting-edge GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and more).
• Partner with front-end and full-stack developers to craft intuitive and user-friendly analytical tools and dashboards.
• Champion the implementation of cost-effective and scalable architectures for our ever-evolving suite of data products.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of data models and schemas that drive our analytics-driven software.
• Ensure the highest standards of data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive engineering culture.

What You’ll Bring:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Architecture and/or Software Engineering, including 1+ years as a Lead, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or data-intensive industries.
• Deep expertise with GCP technologies (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run).
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs or other data services for seamless analytics consumption.
• Extensive experience with ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt/Dataform or Airflow.
• Strong programming skills in Spark, Python, or Java, coupled with advanced SQL expertise.
• Familiarity with building robust infrastructure for data products and integrating with front-end and external systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data governance and security standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with data scientists, product managers, and business teams.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
