About the Role
In this high-visibility, cross-functional role, you’ll be at the forefront of strategic decision-making, collaborating with leadership and global stakeholders across R&D, corporate development, clinical, commercial, and finance. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning early R&D initiatives with our broader corporate objectives and contributing to high-level portfolio strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing compelling business cases for early IIP opportunities across various immunology indications.
- Providing strategic input into discovery-stage efforts and playing a crucial role in target prioritization.
- Integrating IIP portfolio insights into long-range planning and creating impactful development roadmaps.
- Crafting frameworks to accurately assess the translational and commercial potential of early-stage assets.
- Monitoring the competitive landscape and emerging scientific trends to inform early investment decisions.
- Supporting comprehensive portfolio reviews and driving cross-functional prioritization efforts.
- Conducting robust scenario planning and insightful risk/benefit analysis to guide critical pipeline decisions.
- Contributing directly to the company’s strategic planning process and shaping our long-term corporate vision.
- Leading the development of sophisticated valuation and forecasting models across diverse therapeutic areas.
- Collaborating closely with commercial and HEOR teams to deeply understand unmet needs and identify compelling opportunity spaces.
- Working in close partnership with Science, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Business Development, and Finance teams.
- Contributing to strategic evaluations of potential external partnerships or acquisition opportunities.
- Helping to embed strategic frameworks that foster consistent, data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with:
- 8โ12+ years of experience in biotech/pharma strategy, strategic finance, corporate development, or consulting.
- An advanced degree in life sciences or an MBA with strong scientific fluency (Immunology background strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience working with early-stage pipelines and navigating scientific uncertainty.
- Exceptional analytical and modeling capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable recommendations.
- A strategic mindset with excellent communication and influencing skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
- Comfort operating in a dynamic, cross-functional, and global environment.
- A proven ability to lead through influence and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
