Job Description

Engagement Manager, EMR Integrations

Are you passionate about healthcare technology and bridging the gap between complex systems and clinical practice? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where you lead critical projects from concept to completion? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as an Engagement Manager, focusing on EMR Integrations.

The Opportunity: Driving Seamless Healthcare Connectivity

In this pivotal role, you won’t just manage projects; you’ll be the central force enabling critical data flow that impacts patient care. As the Engagement Manager, EMR Integrations, you will serve as the primary architect and liaison for implementing our cutting-edge solutions within hospital and large clinic environments. This is a hands-on position requiring a unique blend of deep EMR technical expertise and robust project management capabilities. You’ll own the entire integration lifecycle, ensuring successful planning, smooth implementation, effective training, and comprehensive post-go-live support. Your success will be measured by the reliability of our integrations, the satisfaction of our clients, and the tangible impact on clinical workflows.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

You will play a multifaceted role at the intersection of technology, project leadership, and client success. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Championing complex EMR integration projects across diverse healthcare settings, expertly managing timelines, resources, and client expectations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Serving as the crucial link, acting as both the strategic project manager and the hands-on technical lead, guiding workflow design, coordinating technical build activities, and delivering impactful client training sessions.
  • Developing and maintaining high-quality project documentation, including detailed workflows, technical configurations, robust test plans, and clear implementation schedules, adhering to industry best practices in project management.
  • Translating intricate clinical operational needs into precise EMR technical configurations, ensuring seamless alignment with both client requirements and our internal system architecture.
  • Providing critical on-site support during go-live periods, offering hands-on training and direct assistance (“elbow support”) to clinical staff to ensure a smooth transition and adoption.
  • Proactively troubleshooting and resolving EMR interface issues, collaborating effectively with clients, vendors, and internal technical teams to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Monitoring system utilization post-implementation and partnering with clients to identify optimization opportunities, enhancing EMR performance and streamlining ordering efficiency.
  • Actively soliciting feedback from clients and key stakeholders to identify areas for continuous improvement and contribute to the evolution of our product offerings.

What You’ll Bring: Your Expertise & Background

We are looking for a professional with a strong foundation in healthcare IT and a proven track record in managing complex system implementations. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Clinical IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and skills.
  • 1-3 years of direct experience working with EMR systems, including at least 1 year of dedicated project management experience specifically within a healthcare setting.
  • Solid working knowledge of Epic EMR; experience with Epic Aura or related modules is a significant plus.
  • Required: One active Epic certification related to Epic Aura or ordering/ancillary workflows is necessary. Highly Preferred: Certification in Epic Beaker, Epic Ambulatory, or Epic Inpatient Orders.
  • A background in laboratory, clinical operations, or health information technology environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high standards of quality and achieving strong stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with standard office software suites such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly strong skills in spreadsheet applications like Excel or Google Sheets. Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
  • A PMO certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.

Skills for Success: Your Profile

Beyond technical knowledge and experience, the most successful candidates in this role will exhibit:

  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the skill to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical clinical staff and executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with a meticulous attention to detail that ensures accuracy in technical configurations and project documentation.
  • High emotional intelligence and a genuine customer service orientation, enabling you to build rapport and manage client relationships effectively.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently, taking ownership of tasks and projects, and collaboratively as part of cross-functional internal teams.
  • Comfort and adaptability in navigating ambiguity and managing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly evolving dynamic environment.
  • Superior organizational skills, with the ability to juggle competing demands and deadlines with professionalism and composure.
  • Excellent documentation skills, capable of clearly and concisely capturing processes, technical details, decisions, and project status updates.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while requiring frequent travel (up to 25%) to support client engagements, crucial go-live events, and necessary training sessions. Occasional work during evenings or weekends may be required to support critical implementations or resolve urgent issues. Daily use of a computer and virtual communication tools is essential; candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in digital formats.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $91,500—$114,400 USD. Actual compensation packages are determined by a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location, which may influence compensation due to labor cost considerations. This range is applicable for the Remote USA location.
