The Opportunity: Engineering Manager, Agentic Platform

We’re seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to join our Agentic Platform team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the roadmap, nurturing team growth, and ensuring the overall well-being of your team members. You’ll collaborate closely with our product team to prioritize features and with our Data/IA team to architect our innovative platform.

Initially, this will be a hands-on role requiring strong coding skills and a proven track record of building and structuring new products in collaboration with key stakeholders (CTO, VPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivate a positive and productive team environment, focusing on team happiness and individual growth.
• Conduct regular 1:1s and annual evaluations, leveraging SEI input to guide team members towards their career goals.
• Maintain a clear understanding of progress on all ongoing tasks within the team.
• Take ownership of ETAs for all ongoing tasks and ensure timely delivery.
• Proactively challenge product definitions, needs, timing, and roadmap to ensure alignment and optimal outcomes.

Collaboration and Impact

Reporting to the VP of Software Engineering, you’ll collaborate closely with other Engineering Managers to maintain consistent practices and promote the well-being of the entire Software Engineering Team. You’ll also partner with Product Management and technical leadership to ensure effective planning and execution. Most importantly, you’ll mentor and empower your team to excel and achieve their full potential at Filigran. Your collaboration with the Data/IA team will be crucial to delivering a state-of-the-art platform.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in team management, ideally within a startup or scale-up environment.
• Comfort working in a remote, async-first work environment.
• Strong technical skills and extensive experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in Javascript/Typescript.
• Exceptional autonomy, ownership, and team spirit.
• A genuine interest in working on an IA-oriented platform and a solid understanding of relevant concepts.
• Bonus points: Experience in the cybersecurity field and familiarity with our competitors and partners.
