Join Our Global Finance Team: Finance Assistant Opportunity (12-Month Contract)

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional seeking a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, international team? We’re seeking a proactive Finance Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support our growing finance operations across the UK, Spain, and Australia.

Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance functions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Month-End Close Support: Prepare and post prepayment journals, process credit card transactions, perform bank reconciliations (UK, Spain, Australia), maintain the fixed asset register, calculate depreciation, and review VAT postings.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Complete client/vendor onboarding forms, proactively chase outstanding client debt, allocate bank receipts, resolve client account queries, lead weekly debtors meetings, update collections forecasts, and review VAT postings for compliance.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about finance and has the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience in a finance or accounts assistant role, ideally within an international business setting.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, SAP).
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
• Experience in a media, marketing, or professional services environment is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
