The Opportunity: Build the Future of DeFi dApps

Reporting directly to our Head of Technology, this role offers a unique opportunity to take significant ownership. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development, maintenance, and evolution of our core dApps, which serve as the critical interface for users to interact with our complex vault smart contracts.

What You’ll Be Building

As our Full Stack Web Developer, you will:

• Develop and maintain intuitive, responsive, and performant front-end interfaces using modern frameworks like React, Next.js, Vue, or similar technologies.
• Architect and implement seamless integration layers with both EVM and non-EVM smart contracts utilizing essential libraries such as Ethers.js, Web3.js, Viem, and Starknet.js.
• Support a broad range of wallet integrations, including leading options like MetaMask, Argent X, and Braavos, leveraging modern connectors like ConnectKit and wagmi.
• Design and build scalable, secure back-end services and APIs, primarily using Node.js, Express, and related technologies.
• Collaborate closely with our blockchain engineers to ensure efficient and reliable interaction with smart contracts and complex on-chain data.
• Implement and champion best practices for Web3 security, focusing on secure wallet connectivity, robust transaction handling, and the protection of user data.
• Manage the deployment lifecycle on cloud platforms like AWS (including EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, and CloudFront), with a strong focus on scalability, logging, and monitoring.
• Establish and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions to streamline testing and deployment workflows.
• Explore and implement deployment strategies across both centralized cloud infrastructure and decentralized hosting environments (e.g., IPFS, Fleek).
• Optimize application performance through strategies like CloudFront caching, cache invalidation, and effective SSL/TLS management.
• Contribute to the security and resilience of our underlying infrastructure, including considerations for Whisk.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers and designers to translate requirements into impactful DeFi features and enhancements.
• Integrate interactive UI elements, animations, and styling using modern HTML/CSS techniques, including within PHP-based views or templating engines where necessary to support our full stack.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a candidate with:

• Solid proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and demonstrated experience working with PHP.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional web development experience, including at least 3 years specifically in dApp development.
• Hands-on, proven experience integrating with and interacting with both EVM and Non-EVM smart contracts.
• Familiarity and practical experience with modern wallet connection libraries such as ConnectKit, wagmi, and Viem.
• Experience deploying and managing web applications on AWS, specifically utilizing services like Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, and S3, coupled with an understanding of environment configurations, auto-scaling, and CloudWatch logging.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or similar, including artifact handling and deployment automation.
• Working knowledge of CloudFront, CDN behavior, cache invalidation strategies, and SSL certificate management (e.g., AWS Certificate Manager).
• Awareness of and ability to implement cloud infrastructure security best practices, including familiarity with IAM roles, security groups, and VPC setup.
• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.
• Comfort working effectively in Linux environments and using Git for version control.
• A strong understanding of core DeFi concepts and prominent protocols (e.g., Uniswap, Aave, Curve).
• Awareness of Whisk infrastructure and security requirements.
• Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and animation techniques (transitions, keyframes, etc.), with the ability to integrate these within various contexts, including PHP-rendered views.
