What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our HR team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of activities, including:
- Employee Relations: Proactively address workplace concerns, mediate conflicts, and ensure a fair and respectful environment for all employees.
- Performance Management: Provide guidance on performance improvement plans, reviews, and development strategies.
- Compliance & Legal: Stay current on employment laws (EEO/AA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, ADA, etc.) and ensure compliance with federal and local regulations. Review and provide guidance on FMLA and workers’ compensation claims.
- Talent Acquisition: Support our recruiters by providing them with necessary tools and resources to increase the talent pool.
- Training & Development: Deliver engaging HR-related content to managers and employees on topics such as performance management, career development, and new HR programs. Participate in leadership and succession planning.
- Employee Engagement: Champion the employee engagement survey, analyze results, and partner with management to develop and implement action plans for improvement.
- Compensation & Benefits: Support the annual performance and compensation process, providing guidance to managers on merit and bonus recommendations.
- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Promote involvement and support activities within our ERGs to foster inclusivity and belonging.
- Project Management: Collaborate and lead on HR-related projects as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources Management or a related field is a plus!).
- PHR certification or SHRM-CP completion (preferred).
- 2-4 years of broad HR Generalist experience with a strong focus on employee relations and employment practices.
- Proficiency in conducting workplace investigations with discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional assessment and interviewing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS/payroll systems (Workday preferred).
- Willingness to travel 50%-60% of the time (including air travel and overnight stays).
- Ability to be based anywhere in the United States near a major airport.
