We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Information Security Officer / Risk Specialist (ISO) to become a vital part of our expert Information Security / Information Risk team. Collaborating closely with our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will play a key role in upholding the security, integrity, and availability of our critical information systems and data. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the robust security posture of a pioneering company in the crypto space.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As our ISO, you will be instrumental in safeguarding Finoa’s digital infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing significantly to the development, refinement, and enforcement of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
• Performing thorough risk assessments to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
• Assisting in the creation and delivery of impactful security awareness training programs that empower our entire team.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure that robust security requirements are integrated into new projects and technology initiatives from their inception.
• Staying ahead of the curve by monitoring emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and advancements in security technologies to continuously enhance our defenses.
• Actively participating in internal and external audits, helping to demonstrate strict adherence to relevant regulatory frameworks and industry compliance standards.
• Providing expert support and practical guidance to employees on best practices for information security and data protection.

What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you should bring a blend of foundational knowledge, technical expertise, and collaborative skills:

• Solid educational background or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Risk.
• A deep, practical understanding of core information security principles, widely accepted standards, and best practices.
• Proven ability to understand and analyze factors contributing to information risk.
• Experience working with various security tools and technologies commonly used in cloud-native and modern environments, such as AWS, EKS, WAF, MDM, SSO, etc.
• Ability to effectively utilize AI models and AI-powered assistants as tools in your security workflow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you can translate complex technical details into clear, understandable language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Familiarity with specific regulatory frameworks relevant to the financial services industry, such as EBA Guidelines, BAIT, MaRisk, and GDPR, is a distinct advantage.
• German language skills are considered a plus.
