What You’ll Do
As a Kubernetes Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our platform. You’ll be responsible for:
- Owning the entire lifecycle of our Kubernetes-based infrastructure, from building and deployment to monitoring and optimization.
- Developing and scaling our orchestration platform for a global fleet of AI-enabled cameras and Edge Processors, ensuring robust, secure, and reliable operations in diverse network environments.
- Managing the entire edge device lifecycle, from automated provisioning and secure software deployment to remote monitoring, diagnostics, and telemetry collection at scale.
- Applying infrastructure-as-code best practices using Terraform and Argo CD to declaratively manage infrastructure and deployments.
- Identifying and championing Developer Experience (DevX) improvements across our technologies and processes.
- Managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline our development and deployment workflows.
- Developing observability solutions to ensure performance and reliability targets are met as we scale.
- Supporting integration efforts with Access Control and Video Management systems.
- Critically assessing and addressing infrastructure security risks to protect our platform and our clients.
- Leading by example, establishing and maintaining best practices for our team.
- Gathering input from multiple teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Deploying changes with immediate impact on our product, worldwide.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven expertise in Linux, Networking, and Distributed systems.
- A deep understanding of backend development best practices.
- Hands-on experience managing highly available deployments with container orchestration and declarative IaC.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools and best practices.
- Experience optimizing cloud provider spends.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud/edge architectures, including device identity, secure communication patterns, and fleet orchestration at scale
- A strong desire to work with, mentor, and learn from peers through code reviews, design documents, and pair programming.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with compliance frameworks, e.g. SOC 2.
- Experience managing bare metal servers.
- Experience collaborating with cyber security teams.
- Experience with multiple cloud providers’ offerings.
- Experience with AI, including generative AI technologies.
- Familiarity with the Nix package manager.
- A background as a full-stack engineer.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $160,000 – $200,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
