About the Role

You will be an integral part of our expert testing team, initially collaborating closely with a major client’s IT team. This role is specifically focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of a large-scale Learning Management System (LMS), with a strong emphasis on the Moodle platform. You will play a crucial part in delivering robust, high-performing, and user-friendly learning environments for a significant user base.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Analyze and test software requirements, use cases, user stories, and designs according to testing best practices, with a specific focus on the Moodle platform, its customizations, and critical multilingual capabilities.

Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and execution scripts tailored for complex LMS functionalities.

Perform thorough test execution across various browsers, devices, and platforms, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience for web and mobile access to the Moodle application.

Plan, prepare, and execute load and performance testing for the Moodle platform and associated reporting infrastructure using industry-standard tools like JMeter. Analyze load test results, meticulously document defects, and validate performance improvements.

Coordinate testing activities efficiently and provide clear, concise reporting on test progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Provide crucial support in diagnosing and investigating production incidents, assisting in implementing workarounds to restore functionality swiftly, particularly during and after Moodle migrations.

Investigate repetitive incidents to identify root causes and propose and implement preventative solutions to enhance system stability.

Assist in validating data integrity and reporting functionality, supporting new reporting and data warehouse initiatives within the LMS ecosystem.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business analysts, clients, end-users, project leaders, and developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Need (Your Profile)

A Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline, combined with a minimum of 3 years of overall IT professional experience.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on manual LMS testing experience, with a strong preference for the Moodle platform.

At least 3 years of experience with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail.

2+ years of experience in automated testing, specifically implementing tests using frameworks like Selenium.

Experience with test data preparation, particularly involving SQL databases.

Mandatory experience working with large-scale LMS installations (500,000+ users) and supporting multilingual environments (5+ languages).

Very good knowledge of Moodle or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) architecture, functionality, and common issues.

2+ years of experience with performance and load testing tools, specifically JMeter.

Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies (Functional, Regression, Integration, Performance, Exploratory, UAT), technologies, tools, and techniques.

Excellent command of the English language is mandatory.
