The Opportunity: Associate, Loss Mitigation

Are you a problem-solver with a passion for finding resolutions? We’re seeking a dedicated Associate, Loss Mitigation to manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and work towards mutually beneficial resolutions. In this role, you’ll investigate, monitor, and resolve accounts that are 80+ days past due, adhering to internal policies and procedures while providing a seamless customer experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management: Effectively manage a queue of 80+ day delinquent accounts, handling both inbound and outbound calls as needed. Meticulously document all account activity and adhere to department standards for efficient queue management.
  2. Performance & Development: Actively participate in coaching sessions and training programs to enhance your individual performance and contribute to the overall success of the team and department.
  3. Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the business.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of collection or relevant experience (automotive experience preferred). Late-stage collections experience is highly valued.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Time Management: Excellent ability to independently manage your time and meet productivity goals.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements with customers.
  • Skip Tracing Skills: Proficiency in utilizing various skip tracing tools (where applicable).
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Windows, including Word and Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with peers and customers.
  • Listening Skills: Ability to actively listen and understand directions.

Work Environment

This role requires extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.

Compensation

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
