The Opportunity: Lead, Innovate, and Empower
As the Manager, Reporting and Data Science, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Scientists. You will drive initiatives related to reporting, including dashboards, benchmarking, data extraction/logic, and advanced data science models. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Managing the team’s workflow, ensuring alignment with program initiatives, operational plans, and budget targets.
- Overseeing the collection, validation, and development of enhancement requests for data products.
- Providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Prioritizing development efforts in collaboration with the Director of Business Intelligence, communicating timelines to stakeholders.
- Balancing customer needs with technical capabilities to deliver solutions that meet original goals and objectives.
- Facilitating discussions to develop sound business requirements and user stories, ensuring efficient and user-friendly workflows.
- Collaborating with technical teams to align work efforts with product and business goals, resolving roadblocks as needed.
- Managing internal documentation (Confluence) and issue/bug/enhancement tracking (Jira and ServiceNow).
- Evangelizing data products by demonstrating their value to key stakeholders and supporting the user community.
- Serving as a subject matter expert in upstream data sources, identifying gaps and participating in system upgrade planning.
- Building and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders and other ITS teams.
- Collaborating with Physician Leadership, Operations Division Leadership, and Practice Line/Program Leads to co-design impactful data products.
- Identifying opportunities to leverage data sources for reports, dashboards, and tools that add business value.
- Developing prototypes using Tableau and other platforms to gather user feedback and assess value.
- Staying informed of industry best practices in analytics, business intelligence, and data science.
Qualifications: Your Expertise Matters
We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader with the following qualifications:
- Masterโs Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field is required.
- 6+ years of data science experience with Python, machine learning, and/or data warehouses is required.
- 2+ years of development experience with business intelligence software, especially Tableau, is required.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau is essential.
- Strong experience with the ETL process and database management systems is crucial.
- Development experience using AI or ChatGPT applications is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare with physicians is preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies is preferred.
- Experience with healthcare nomenclature and hospital quality measures is preferred.
- Experience presenting technical solutions to both business and technical audiences is preferred.
- Proficiency with agile development methodologies is preferred.
- Experience in strategic program and project management, system implementation, and deployment is preferred.
- Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional leaders and senior management to implement change management strategies.
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and motivate teams, resolving conflicts effectively.
- Ability to perform daily functions with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a complex ecosystem of workflows, data flows, technologies, and teams.
- Excellent communication, people management, and technical translation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $142,020 – $184,625, exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This role is also eligible for our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We value pay equity and internal fairness.
