Job Title: Sr. Manager, Site Reliability & DevOps

Join Endpoint as our Sr. Manager, Site Reliability & DevOps, and be a pivotal leader in shaping the reliability and performance of our cutting-edge software systems. You will be a BENEVOLENT and dynamic leader, responsible for managing, coaching, and inspiring our Site Reliability, DBA, and Cloud Engineering teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across departments and disciplines, including product, engineering, operations, support services, and IT, to deliver robust cloud infrastructure, optimized database code, and seamless deployment pipelines. Your efforts will directly impact the quality, reliability, and availability of Endpoint’s vital systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Mentorship: Manage, coach, and mentor team members, providing guidance and insights to navigate complex challenges and promote professional growth.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across organizational boundaries to efficiently triage and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Infrastructure & Pipeline Delivery: Lead the delivery of robust cloud infrastructure, streamlined deployment pipelines, and optimized database code, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Tier 4 Support: Facilitate and resolve escalated tier 4 support issues related to Endpoint’s core products and services, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Proactive Monitoring: Identify and implement proactive measures for monitoring, logging, and enhancing visibility into the health of Endpoint’s environments, proactively preventing issues.
• Incident Resolution: Drive initiatives and efforts to develop effective solutions for production incidents affecting products, integrations, and escalated services, minimizing downtime and impact.
• 24×7 Operations: Lead, organize, and support 24×7 Follow the Sun operations, fostering seamless engineering and operational coordination between onshore and offshore teams.
• Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with other teams to conduct thorough root cause analysis and define effective solutions for identified issues, preventing recurrence.
• System Awareness: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all Endpoint systems and integrations, facilitating efficient issue resolution across the entire ecosystem.
• Design Review Participation: Actively participate in product and feature design reviews, ensuring that solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with architectural best practices.
• Team Building & Optimization: Help establish, build, and organize people and systems to best drive the team forward, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Knowledge Transfer: Coordinate with various departments to facilitate knowledge transfer, technical solutions, and proactive measures are incorporated and considered with all endpoint product and services.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Systems Reliability Engineer, including experience with mixed hardware/software systems.
• System Analysis: Proven experience in complex system analysis and simulations.
• High-Reliability Systems: Demonstrated experience in the design and construction of high-accuracy and high-reliability systems.
• IaC & Deployment Pipelines: Hands-on experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deployment pipelines, preferably in Azure.
• Distributed Applications: Experience in the design, creation, and optimization of distributed applications.
• Operating Systems: Solid working knowledge of Windows Server 2012. Linux experience is a strong plus.
• Databases: Working knowledge of SQL Server 2014 and IIS.
• Networking: Working knowledge of networking and network protocols for hybrid and cloud solutions.
• Scripting: Hands-on experience in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.). Experience with structured languages (e.g., C#, Java) is a plus.
• Virtualization & Cloud: In-depth knowledge and production experience with VMware vSphere Enterprise, AWS, and Azure.
• 24×7 Leadership: Experience leading 24×7 Engineering & Operations teams, coordinating logistics between onshore and offshore teams to deliver seamless execution with 99.95% availability.
• Cloud Architecture: Experience in the Design/Architecture of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and hybrid cloud solutions is highly desirable.

Compensation:

Competitive salary range: ₹20,00,000 – ₹40,00,000 per year.
