Mid QA Engineer

We’re seeking a talented Mid-Level QA Engineer to take ownership of our backend automation testing and contribute to the ongoing success of our product.

Your Mission: Ensure Quality, Drive Efficiency

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and reliability of our backend systems. You’ll be empowered to design, implement, and execute comprehensive automated test plans, working closely with a US-based QA team member and collaborating with our talented development team in India.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated tests for backend components, primarily using Cypress.
• Independently create and execute test plans based on Jira tickets and clearly defined acceptance criteria.
• Proactively identify and define acceptance criteria when needed, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate effectively with a distributed team, including a US-based QA tester and India-based developers, utilizing Jira and established workflows.
• Develop and implement tools and automation processes to enhance QA efficiency and streamline testing workflows.
• Identify and escalate any gaps in development or testing processes, contributing to continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• 3-4 years of proven experience in QA, with significant hands-on experience in automation testing.
• Strong proficiency with Cypress or similar automation frameworks.
• Solid experience in backend testing methodologies and techniques.
• Experience with Jira and Postman; familiarity with IT/cybersecurity is a definite plus.
• Exceptional ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and proactively define test coverage.
• A flexible schedule to facilitate collaboration with a global team across different time zones.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges in a dynamic environment.
