The Opportunity: Principal Statistical Programmer (Remote)
Are you a highly experienced and skilled Statistical Programmer looking for a pivotal role in advancing clinical research? Servier is seeking a talented and motivated Principal Statistical Programmer to join our growing Biostatistics team. This significant, fully remote position offers the chance to lead programming activities for complex clinical trials and contribute directly to bringing life-changing therapies to patients globally.
What You’ll Do
As our Principal Statistical Programmer, you will be a key technical leader and project manager responsible for the integrity and delivery of our clinical data analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading programming efforts for multiple studies as a technical expert and project manager, overseeing all aspects of statistical and clinical programming deliverables.
- Ensuring impeccable quality, traceability, reproducibility, and timeliness of all programming outputs to meet rigorous regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Collaborating closely with Biostatisticians, Data Managers, and both internal and Contract Research Organization (CRO) programmers to define, implement, and execute analysis requirements.
- Providing critical sponsor oversight on data and analysis activities performed by external vendors.
- Ensuring all statistical programming systems, processes, and deliverables align seamlessly with relevant regulatory standards, including clinical study reporting, electronic records handling, and the electronic submission of clinical data to health authorities.
What You’ll Bring
To excel in this senior-level role, you should possess a strong foundation in statistical programming within the clinical development space and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Required Education & Experience:
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Pharmacology, Health Care, or a related scientific field AND a minimum of 6 years of progressive statistical programming experience supporting clinical development within the pharmaceutical industry.
- OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Pharmacology, Health Care, or a related scientific field AND a minimum of 8 years of progressive statistical programming experience supporting clinical development within the pharmaceutical industry.
Required Skills & Experience (concurrent experience is acceptable):
- Demonstrated expertise with CDISC standards, including Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) and Analysis Data Model (ADaM) guidelines.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages, specifically SAS and R.
- Proven experience managing programming projects in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines.

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive total rewards package designed to attract and retain top talent. The salary range for this position is $106,600 to $175,785.22 per year. Your specific compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. Please note that we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range is subject to modification.
In addition to base salary, employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
