Become a Game Producer on RuneScape: Dragonwilds
Location: Cambridge, UK (Hybrid – Remote UK with quarterly onsite team days)
Ready to shape the future of an exciting new open-world survival crafting game?
Are you an experienced and passionate Producer with a knack for leading game development teams and ensuring exceptional quality from concept through delivery? We’re looking for someone just like you to join the team building RuneScape: Dragonwilds, our ambitious new project developed in Unreal Engine 5 and currently in Early Access.
As a Producer focused on RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you’ll be instrumental in driving the smooth development and successful delivery of critical game features and initiatives. Working closely with Directors, Leads, and our talented development teams, you’ll help define and refine the processes that propel us forward, always with an eye on quality, clarity, and impactful results.
Leveraging your expertise in full lifecycle game development, you’ll expertly balance priorities, manage resources, and align expectations to keep your teams focused, empowered, and achieving their goals. From strategic roadmap planning to proactive problem-solving and seamless cross-functional coordination, your contribution will be vital in cultivating a collaborative and high-performing production culture.
This is a highly hands-on and collaborative role for a leader who leads by example, maintains a deep focus on player experience, and champions quality in every aspect of development.
What You’ll Be Doing: Driving Development and Empowering Teams
In this key role, you will:
- Assume ownership for critical areas of game delivery, navigating all phases of production.
- Partner closely with the Senior Producer, Development Director, and the wider Production team to achieve roadmap objectives and long-term development ambitions.
- Collaborate with Leads and Directors across Design, Technical, and Content disciplines to align expectations and priorities, ensuring a unified vision.
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day development within your assigned areas, adapting production processes to best suit each team’s unique needs.
- Monitor team progress, providing clear and timely updates on status, potential risks, and key accomplishments.
- Proactively identify and resolve development challenges, crafting mitigation strategies that safeguard both team performance and product quality.
- Facilitate crystal-clear cross-discipline communication to swiftly tackle blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure clarity across shared responsibilities.
- Accurately track and communicate decisions, action items, and outcomes to maintain project alignment and transparency.
- Champion best practices across the production discipline and provide valuable mentoring to junior team members.
- Foster a healthy, collaborative, and communicative team culture that prioritizes well-being and high performance.
- Lead retrospectives and post-mortems, ensuring feedback is translated into actionable improvements.
What You’ll Bring: Your Expertise and Passion
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience having successfully shipped one or more games as a Producer or in a comparable leadership capacity.
- A strong, intuitive understanding of game development workflows, project priorities, and the full production lifecycle.
- Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Proficiency with widely used project tracking tools such as JIRA, Shotgun, or similar platforms.
- A naturally proactive communicator who excels at building trust and ensuring clarity across diverse teams.
- A skilled team motivator capable of fostering positive, productive relationships across different disciplines.
- A solid understanding of the games industry coupled with a genuine passion for quality and player-focused development.
