We provide valuable content through our main website, Research Portal, podcast, and events.

The Opportunity

As a Product Designer, you’ll be instrumental in crafting intuitive and engaging digital experiences on theblock.co. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, editorial staff, and business stakeholders to ideate, design, and deliver impactful features that enhance our brand and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design elegant and intuitive interfaces for web and mobile platforms, reflecting The Block’s brand identity.
• Lead design reviews, collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs, and translate them into thoughtful design solutions.
• Own the end-to-end design process for specific features, including user research, wireframing, creating high-fidelity designs, prototyping, and conducting final visual QA before deployment.
• Maintain and evolve our Figma design system, ensuring consistency across all digital experiences.
• Conduct user research and testing to validate design concepts and iterate based on feedback and data.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementation of designs.
• Balance business goals with user needs to create user-centric solutions.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 2+ years of professional experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing your contributions to shipped projects.
• A strong understanding of best practices for working with and maintaining Figma design systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Bonus Points

• Experience working on media or content-rich platforms.
• Experience creating crypto-focused content or working within the crypto industry.
• Front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS) to facilitate effective collaboration with engineers.

What Success Looks Like

Within 3-6 months, you will have:

• Seamlessly integrated into The Block’s product design workflow.
• Designed features that drive engagement, user retention, and revenue growth.
• Successfully owned at least one major feature from concept to production.
