Rove Concepts, a leading online retailer of high-end mid-century modern furniture, is seeking a talented and passionate Product Designer & Drawer to join our growing team! This is a fully remote position based in Taiwan, reporting to our headquarters in Vancouver, BC.

About the Role

As a Product Designer & Drawer, you will play a crucial role in bringing our furniture concepts to life. You’ll be responsible for creating detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings that translate design ideas into tangible products. Your creativity and attention to detail will ensure that our furniture meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Development team to design and develop innovative furniture concepts, from initial ideation to final production.
• Generate detailed sketches, 3D models, and comprehensive technical drawings to effectively communicate design intent.
• Create high-quality renderings and models for internal reviews and external presentations.
• Utilize Solidworks and/or AutoCAD to prepare precise technical specifications for manufacturing.
• Ensure design feasibility by considering production methods, materials, and cost-effectiveness.
• Review and compare prototypes against product references, identifying discrepancies and proposing improvements.
• Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to guarantee designs meet quality and functionality expectations.
• Adapt to changing project priorities and efficiently manage multiple design tasks.
• Apply creative problem-solving skills to continuously improve design outcomes.
• Contribute as a collaborative team member, upholding professional integrity and supporting departmental goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Proven skills in sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, and model making.
• Proficiency with Solidworks and/or AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of furniture design and production processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to follow precise directions while contributing creative insights.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A collaborative team player with initiative, curiosity, and a growth-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional attention to detail when identifying design differences and evaluating product references.
