As part of Synopsys, you will contribute to the success of Ansys Granta, a suite of materials information management products used by engineers worldwide. Be at the forefront of pervasive intelligence, delivering design solutions from electronic design automation to silicon IP, to system design and multiphysics simulation and analysis.

Your Impact

As a Technical Writer on the Ansys Granta team, you will play a crucial role in empowering our users to leverage the full potential of our software. You will be responsible for:

• Creating and maintaining high-quality documentation, including help files, tutorials, videos, API documentation, and microcopy.
• Collaborating with product owners, product managers, software developers, and technical experts to deeply understand the needs of the customer.
• Providing UX feedback on software to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our documentation tools, processes, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive and user-friendly technical documentation for Ansys Granta products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect software changes and enhancements.
• Contribute to the development of graphics and visuals to enhance understanding of complex concepts.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of Ansys software products and their application in various industries.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the following qualifications:

• B.Sc in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a relevant Master’s degree.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points

The following experience and skills will be considered a plus:

• Familiarity with Ansys products.
• Experience with documentation authoring tools, project management software, version control systems (Git), and structured documentation formats (DITA, XML).
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Experience with tools like oXygen.
• Proven ability to create effective graphics.
