About the Role:

As a Reasonable Accommodations Specialist supporting USAID, you will play a vital role in ensuring the agency continues to meet its legal and policy obligations related to employees and applicants with disabilities. You’ll be the expert, guiding the full lifecycle of reasonable accommodation (RA) requests and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and policies. This contract’s main aim is to support the USAID Human Resources Director, with senior level advisory services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Reasonable Accommodation Program Management: Administer, monitor, and evaluate USAID’s Reasonable Accommodation program, ensuring compliance with the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, and other relevant laws.
  • Expert Guidance: Serve as the subject matter expert on reasonable accommodations, providing advice and guidance to leadership, managers, and employees.
  • Case Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate RA requests, determining eligibility and recommending appropriate accommodations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with the Office of General Counsel, medical professionals, and other key stakeholders to gather necessary information and expertise.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure program compliance with EEO and disability-related laws, develop metrics, and provide reports on program performance.

What You’ll Need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Law, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of HR, EEO, or related experience, with direct management of reasonable accommodation cases in the federal sector.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, and related federal EEO laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Location: Remote with ability to work onsite in the DMV area as needed.
