About the Role
As a Sales Commissions Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our North Direct Field Sales team. You will be responsible for meticulously accumulating and analyzing data related to sales commissions, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, preparing financial statements, and generating insightful reports. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing inquiries and resolving compensation-related issues, fostering a positive and productive environment for our sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze weekly sales and commission data to ensure accurate and timely payment to sales representatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Payroll team to guarantee precise commission calculations and adherence to payroll schedules.
- Provide ongoing support to the sales team by researching and resolving inquiries related to sales compensation program calculations.
- Analyze payment data to proactively identify and rectify errors, ensuring data integrity.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively, preventing potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain strict adherence to compensation policies and procedures, including SOX compliance.
- Develop custom reports that provide sales representatives with valuable insights into their compensation performance.
- Update and maintain reports that track key metrics and trends in payment data, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
- Retrieve and format data requests from sales representatives and management, providing timely and relevant information.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals and meet critical deadlines.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Payroll, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in sales compensation administration or financial analysis.
- Experience in the payments industry and/or a strong understanding of sales commission/incentive programs.
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and formulas.
- Exceptional attention to detail, unwavering accuracy, and strong financial acumen.
- Confidence in communicating with leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative on projects, work quickly, and adapt to change.
- Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate complex issues and formulate recommendations to a variety of audiences.
