Job Title: Enterprise & Midmarket Sales Engineer

Sophos is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Enterprise and Midmarket sectors.
Role Summary
As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be the technical linchpin, supporting our sales team by deeply understanding customer technical requirements and aligning them with impactful Sophos solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in making product trials and evaluations a resounding success, ultimately driving business growth. You’ll be comfortable presenting and training both small and large audiences, conveying complex technical concepts with clarity and precision.
What You Will Do
- Drive revenue growth by leveraging your technical sales expertise to effectively communicate the value of Sophos solutions to prospective customers.
- Collaborate with partner and customer technical teams to architect robust and scalable security solutions, ensuring appropriate sizing and resilience.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations, both to partners and customers, to showcase the capabilities of Sophos’s security platform.
- Qualify sales opportunities by thoroughly assessing prospect needs and collaborating with technical staff to define solution requirements and specifications.
- Act as a conduit for partner feedback, channeling insights into Product Management and other relevant departments to shape product development.
- Address partner inquiries, provide technical support, and manage technical evaluations to facilitate successful deployments.
What You Will Bring
- Deep technical understanding of Enterprise architecture components, including network design, virtualization, directory services, firewalls, and APIs.
- Proven expertise in Firewall and network security products.
- Solid understanding of Endpoint security products and MDR/SOC services.
- Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure technologies.
- Experience working with and supporting channel partners.
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to translate product features into tangible business benefits and address customer requirements effectively.
- Proficiency in needs assessment, identifying technical fit, pain points, and competitive threats.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to escalate issues with clarity and offer proactive suggestions for prevention.
- A hands-on approach, comfortable working directly with partners and customers to address technical requirements and configuration challenges.
- The ability to effectively anticipate and address competitive concerns.
- Relevant post-secondary education.
- Security industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
