The Opportunity:
As a Sales Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our company’s growth, directly impacting revenue generation and market share expansion. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will lead a team of Sales Representatives, providing mentorship, coaching, and strategic guidance to achieve and exceed sales targets.
This role requires a strong understanding of the insurance landscape, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to optimize sales performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with product development, underwriting, and customer service, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our agency partners.
What You’ll Do:
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, onboard, and train top-tier sales talent.
- Implement comprehensive training programs focused on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and recognition.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning through coaching, workshops, and field support.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business growth.
- Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring effective engagement, platform channel management, and conversion processes.
- Monitor KPIs and sales metrics to assess performance and ensure the achievement of targets.
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
- Analyze agent feedback and industry data to identify opportunities for product development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, and Customer Service teams to align sales initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key agency partners.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Utilize sales analytics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports for senior management, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
What You’ll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of sales experience in the P&C insurance industry (previous managerial or leadership experience preferred).
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Strong understanding of sales strategies and pipeline management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Compensation & Location:
We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and location. The base salary range for this role varies based on location:
- High Cost Locations (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA): $98,699 – $182,896
- Medium Cost Locations (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME): $89,727 – $166,269
- Other Locations (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV): $80,754 – $149,642
Salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and location.
