Are you a passionate and detail-oriented accounting professional with a knack for revenue recognition? HealthEdge is seeking a dynamic Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the complete accounting lifecycle for assigned customers, from revenue recognition to billing and collections. You’ll be a key contributor to our revenue team, leveraging your strong GL and transactional expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP.
Essential Responsibilities
As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you’ll be at the forefront of our revenue operations, playing a vital role in:
- Managing general ledger revenue accounting in accordance with ASC 606, including month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaborating with the finance team to develop accurate customer forecasts and insightful analysis.
- Contributing to revenue contract reviews and crafting revenue-related accounting memos.
- Supporting the billing and invoicing process for your assigned customer portfolio.
- Preparing journal entries to calculate, capitalize, and amortize contract assets.
- Assisting with the management of deliverables for our annual audit.
- Partnering with the tax department during customer onboarding to determine appropriate sales tax treatment.
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our accounting procedures and processes.
- Improving the closing processes in our fast-paced, rapidly growing SaaS environment.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a self-motivated and results-driven individual with the following qualifications:
- 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong preference for SaaS accounting and ASC 606 expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities effectively.
- Exceptional administrative, organizational, and communication skills to understand and address business and leadership needs.
- Strong technical proficiency with advanced software skills, including Microsoft Office Excel; experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Module is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Location and Work Environment
This role offers flexibility! While based out of our office in Burlington, MA, we welcome candidates from anywhere in the U.S. who are comfortable working in a hybrid or remote environment.
We offer a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The work environment requires the ability to work across multiple time zones, spend long periods of time sitting and/or standing in front of a computer using video technology, and may require occasional travel depending on company needs.
