Are you a highly skilled writer with a deep commitment to accessibility? We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Accessibility Content Specialist to join our innovative Content Engineering team. In this crucial remote role based in India, you will be instrumental in ensuring our digital learning solutions are usable, engaging, and accessible to everyone, regardless of their learning style or ability.

You will be the meticulous creator behind vital accessibility features like audio descriptions, captions, and transcripts, playing a key role in enhancing the learning journey for millions worldwide. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong writing skills, and a collaborative spirit.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Become a master of audio description (AD) writing, crafting clear, concise, and evocative narratives for our technology and developer content to ensure full comprehension and accessibility.
• Generate and meticulously validate captions using our recommended tools, ensuring perfect synchronization with video and audio content for learners who are deaf or hard of hearing, or those who prefer to read along.
• Create and edit accurate transcripts, adhering to Skillsoft’s high standards for completeness and readability.
• Conduct thorough reviews of audio descriptions, captions, and transcripts to guarantee compliance with Skillsoft guidelines and international accessibility standards (including principles aligned with WCAG).
• Proactively collaborate with various stakeholders (including instructional designers, video producers, and subject matter experts) throughout the content development lifecycle, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and effectively communicating progress and requirements within the team.
• Review content deliverables for completeness, consistency, and compliance *before* stakeholder review, acting as a critical quality gatekeeper.
• Skillfully incorporate and reconcile feedback from reviewers and stakeholders, communicating changes and rationale clearly to all involved parties.
• Actively contribute to team and project discussions, sharing insights, best practices, and expertise in accessibility writing and processes.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate challenges, identify process improvements, and optimize accessibility workflows.
• Ensure all work aligns seamlessly with Skillsoft’s established standards, guidelines, and company policies.
• Potentially contribute to exciting one-off projects and initiatives related to digital learning content and accessibility as needed.

What You’ll Bring (Required Skills & Experience)

• A minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in professional writing, specifically creating high-quality content for a US audience.
• Exceptional command of the English language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work, especially in reviewing and editing content.
• Solid experience in proofreading, editing, and quality assurance tasks within a content creation environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
• Proven ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate successfully with diverse stakeholders across different teams.
• Skilled in prioritization, time management, and navigating competing demands effectively.
• Experience in conflict management and decision-making, especially when resolving feedback or process challenges.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have)

• Familiarity with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) principles and their application to digital content.
• Experience in technical writing, particularly related to software, IT, or developer topics.
• Knowledge of tools used for captioning or transcription.

Education & Certifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• While not essential, a Yellow or Green belt Lean Six Sigma certification would be an advantage, demonstrating a focus on process improvement.
