Senior Software Engineer – Line of Credit (Thrive) Platform

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Software Engineer to join our high-performing Line of Credit (Thrive) engineering team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in expanding our Line of Credit platform, launching innovative financial products, and continuously optimizing our existing offerings. As a key member of our team, reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with other senior engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver impactful features that directly contribute to the company’s bottom line.

Tilt embraces a remote-first work environment, fostering connectivity through regular company offsites. Travel for these engaging events is expected a minimum of twice per year.

Your Impact

• Architect, develop, and enhance backend services that power our Thrive Line of Credit and future financial products.
• Expand the platform’s capabilities to support a wide range of financial products and underlying instruments.
• Strengthen our fraud detection and prevention systems to safeguard our customers and our business.
• Deliver customer-facing features and develop internal tools that ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our platform.
• Collaborate effectively with product, credit/finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams to achieve shared goals.
• Actively participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and roadmap planning to shape the future of our technology.
• Champion continuous improvement in code quality, security, and operational excellence across the team.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Solid software engineering fundamentals and exceptional coding skills.
• Proven experience building and maintaining distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern backend frameworks.
• A demonstrated track record of successfully shipping features for consumer-facing products.
• Ability to translate complex product requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• A proactive and self-sufficient approach to managing tasks and sharing progress with the team.

Bonus Points

• Previous experience in the fintech or credit/lending platform space.
• Exposure to fraud prevention or risk management systems.
