This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring two days per week in office for those within commuting distance to Dallas, blending flexibility with essential team collaboration.

Make an Immediate Impact: Your Role as Senior Corporate Accountant
As our Senior Corporate Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health and accuracy of assigned Stream corporate entities. You will oversee the complete accounting lifecycle, ensuring timely and precise financial data is delivered to leadership and partners. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of GAAP, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities
- Drive the month-end close process for assigned entities, including preparing and posting journal entries, conducting thorough bank reconciliations, and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports to corporate accounting reviewers and Stream Partners.
- Calculate and verify division leader bonuses as required.
- Review and analyze commission billing and receipt data to ensure accurate payroll accruals.
- Track investment entities and review supporting documentation to correctly record equity pickups.
- Oversee Accounts Payable processes, including reviewing invoices, posting payment batches, and printing checks on a regular basis.
- Manage Accounts Receivable functions by preparing and posting customer billings, and reviewing and approving cash receipts.
- Responsible for the cash management of assigned entities, proactively communicating any issues to the VP of Corporate Accounting.
- Support Corporate Accounting leadership with special reporting, analytical projects, and Ad Hoc requests as needed.
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for accounting questions from our local offices, providing timely and effective support.
What You’ll Bring – Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a solid foundation in corporate accounting and a desire to contribute to a thriving real estate firm.
- Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Proven full-cycle accounting experience.
- A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in large corporate accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform complex calculations and book entries accurately.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to leadership.
- Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with extensive financial data.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Bonus Points:
- Master’s Degree and/or CPA certification.
- Experience from a Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm (audit or tax).
- Experience in the commercial real estate industry or property management accounting.
- Experience with accounting software such as Workday, NetSuite, or Yardi.
