The Opportunity: Lead Strategic Performance Creative

As a Senior Creative Strategist, you won’t just generate ideas – you’ll be the lead ideator, shaping the creative direction for our most strategic client accounts. This role is at the intersection of creativity, data, and performance. You will leverage a deep understanding of paid social creative best practices, client brands, performance goals, historical data, current e-commerce trends, and consumer behavior to develop advertising concepts that directly impact client growth.

You’ll be tasked with creating advertising that is built for performance, knowing how to react quickly to capitalize on success or pivot when results aren’t meeting targets. This means relentless testing with a clear intention: to move key performance metrics like CPA, CTR, and ROAS, while also driving brand awareness.

You are a self-starter, passionate about maximizing client success through insightful creative strategy. You’re eager to take the lead in developing creative concepts intentionally designed for clear testing, generating actionable insights that inform future campaigns. You’ve mastered presenting creative reporting through compelling storytelling, constantly implementing learnings to enhance results.

If creative deliveries aren’t meeting expectations or tests aren’t hitting goals, you approach troubleshooting with a relentless growth mindset, collaborating to find solutions and surpass targets.

Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

Leading Creative Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the paid social creative strategy for a portfolio of 6-10 enterprise-level clients.
  • Write strategic, consumer-centric, direct response copy and develop comprehensive messaging strategies.
  • Manage creative requests and output with our production team using tools like Asana.
  • Review video and image assets, providing clear, actionable feedback to editors.
  • Lead productive internal creative team syncs and brainstorm sessions.
  • Work closely with the client management team, serving as the primary creative strategy point of contact.
  • Understand the scope of requested edits, reshoots, and other deliverables, strategically managing timelines and expectations.
  • Identify and encourage service expansion opportunities based on client needs and performance potential.
  • Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize creative processes.
  • Utilize and leverage Power Digital’s nova ecosystem as it relates to your department’s goals.

Driving Performance with Data & Insights

  • Use data insights combined with consumer and brand research to design high-performing creative assets.
  • Continuously audit accounts to identify winning ads, present data analysis to clients, and dictate hypotheses and test strategy via monthly roadmaps.
  • Research client brands, competitors, and industry trends, effectively implementing performance creative best practices by platform.
  • Driven to iterate and ideate relentlessly towards stated performance goals.

Collaborating & Client Partnerships

  • Collaborate closely with team members across various internal departments and roles (e.g., Paid Media, Client Management).
  • Build strong rapport with clients to foster open discussion, understanding their product and goals intimately, and clearly explaining our processes.
  • Push back constructively when necessary on matters of timeline, scope, feedback, and direction to ensure performance is driven by creative best practices.

What You’ll Bring: Qualifications & Skills

Essential Expertise

  • Proven proficiency with Meta Ads Manager and/or similar performance data tools (e.g., TikTok Ads, YouTube Ads, Pinterest Ads).
  • Technical skill in pulling and utilizing creative performance data to analyze trends, extract insights, and inform strategic creative roadmaps.
  • A strong understanding of performance-driven creative best practices and the ability to effectively apply these insights to your work.
  • Demonstrated ability to write effective ad copy, structure compelling scripts, and oversee execution with corresponding visuals.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective partnership with clients, production, and post-production teams to deliver optimal creative output.
  • A track record of achieving strong campaign results for clients through strategic, high-performing creative.

Key Performance Indicators

Success in this role is tangible and directly tied to client satisfaction and growth:

  • Achieving 5% or lower client churn rate within your portfolio.
  • Successfully managing creative strategy for 6-10 enterprise-level clients.
  • Effectively managing the creative impact on approximately $100k of monthly recurring revenue (MRR).
