Your Mission: Secure the Future
In this critical role, you will be a key advisor on security system infrastructure, leveraging your deep knowledge of network engineering and cloud technologies to fortify our security architecture. You’ll also harness the power of AI-driven automation to optimize resource allocation and scaling based on real-time demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on security system infrastructure and provide network engineering and cloud knowledge to improve security architecture.
- Implement AI algorithms to analyze network traffic and user behavior, proactively detecting anomalies and potential security threats.
- Develop and document innovative cybersecurity solutions architectures aligned with standardized methodologies to minimize threat surfaces.
- Utilize AI to analyze data from network traffic, logs, and user behavior to identify suspicious patterns indicative of cyber threats.
- Effectively communicate complex architectural concepts and capabilities to stakeholders at all levels.
- Guide the design and implementation of secure solutions and services across business and IT, driving the successful configuration of security tools to mitigate risks.
- Deliver training on infrastructure and cloud security posture.
- Contribute to the development of system and network/cloud security policies, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Support change management processes, monitoring cascading effects to minimize unintended consequences.
- Conduct market research on the latest security best practices, technologies, and industry trends.
- Employ AI to analyze and summarize vendor and technology data, providing actionable recommendations to the USPS technical team.
- Provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations to enhance the overall security posture for both networking and cloud environments.
- Work toward utilizing AI for monitoring network traffic patterns to detect anomalies indicative of intrusions like DDoS attacks.
- Provide on-call support for network impacting or network outage situations outside of business hours
What You’ll Bring:
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in cybersecurity and a passion for innovation. Ideal candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 7+ years of experience in security and cloud architecture.
- 9+ years of overall cybersecurity experience.
- Solid understanding of security standards and best practices, including DISA STIGs, NIST 800, Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Benchmarks.
- Proven experience in security architecture and cloud development.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technology solution planning, engineering, and deployment, including EDR/XDR, FW, NGIPS, SIEM, and NDR.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise infrastructure design requirements: Data center, Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS, PaaS/IaaS/SaaS), Software defined networks/SASE, Trusted Internet Connections (TIC), Enterprise certificate authority/PKI operations, DNS/DHCP security, DDoS/WAF, Network access control, and Wireless network security.
- Experience working with cloud security technologies from Microsoft, Google, or Amazon.
- Expertise in configuring and operating security consoles and controls within cloud environments.
- Experience deploying physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted enterprise applications on Windows and/or Linux.
- Knowledge of SDWAN/SSE design and security policies.
- Knowledge of TLS traffic analysis and TLS intercept.
- Familiarity with Security Operations Center (SOC) processes.
