We’re looking for a talented and passionate Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team and play a pivotal role in making data-driven decisions across the company.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our data strategy, building the foundational data models that power our insights. You’ll collaborate with various teams to understand their needs, drive adoption, and ensure our data platform operates smoothly. Your expertise will be crucial in making data accessible and actionable for internal teams, practitioners, and patients alike.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define, build, and deploy our Enterprise Data Warehouse to meet reporting and analytical needs across Fullscript.
- Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to define and implement our Customer Data Platform (CDP), leveraging data from diverse sources to improve customer acquisition and the customer journey.
- Develop data transformation code in ELT pipelines and utilize data delivery tools to ensure data reaches the right place for informed decision-making.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance to promote best practices in Analytics Engineering throughout the company.
- Ensure data models are thoroughly tested and optimized for scalability and performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation and definitions.
What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Engineering, with a focus on implementing ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with dbt (data build tool) for transformation stages.
- Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization.
- Proven ability to maintain data transformation pipelines, ensuring data availability, quality, and meeting SLAs.
- Deep understanding of data engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- A learning mindset and a passion for exploring new technologies and methodologies.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
- Experience with ops practices and tools for automated deployment, CI pipeline definition, and infrastructure management.
- Previous leadership or mentorship experience in a data engineering team.
