Lead the Future of Embedded Systems: Senior Director of Engineering Delivery

Are you a seasoned engineering leader passionate about driving innovation in the world of embedded systems? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your expertise can directly impact customer outcomes and strategic growth? If so, we invite you to join our team as the Senior Director of Engineering Delivery for our Mosaic platform.

About the Role

As the Senior Director of Engineering Delivery, you will be at the helm of our Mosaic engineering organization, responsible for leading the development, integration, and delivery of our core RTOS, hypervisor, and embedded solutions. This is a highly visible role where you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure predictable, on-time delivery for both customer and internal programs. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving execution excellence and enabling cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering Leadership: Lead and mentor engineering teams responsible for the development and delivery of the Mosaic platform, including RTOS, hypervisors, and embedded virtualization technologies.
  • Delivery Ownership: Take ownership of customer-facing and internal delivery commitments, ensuring exceptional quality, timeliness, and adherence to relevant certification and safety standards.
  • Best Practices: Champion the adoption of engineering best practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and implement predictable delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Program & Project Execution: Collaborate with Program Management and Product teams to prioritize, resource, and deliver against roadmap and customer program requirements. Establish and maintain delivery frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and KPIs for clear visibility at the executive level.
  • Safety-Critical Certification: Ensure robust processes are in place for safety-critical certification paths (e.g., DO-178C, ISO 26262) where applicable.
  • Team Leadership & Growth: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering organization encompassing embedded, hypervisor, and system-level engineering expertise. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Develop technical leaders and create clear succession paths within the Mosaic engineering team.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Product Management to translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering plans. Partner with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, and Program teams to support deployments, integration, and ensure customer satisfaction. Serve as a key escalation point for delivery-related challenges.
  • Strategic Leadership: Drive engineering transformation initiatives to enhance the speed, efficiency, and scalability of Mosaic delivery. Influence long-term product architecture and investment decisions through deep technical insights and delivery expertise. Represent Mosaic engineering in executive forums, board-level discussions, and strategic customer engagements.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary software engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience delivering DO-178C capabilities and certifications.
  • Deep technical background in embedded systems, RTOS, and hypervisors for safety-critical/real-time environments.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex software products and customer programs on time and at scale.
  • Experience with other safety-critical standards strongly preferred.
  • Strong track record of implementing engineering best practices (Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to drive results while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
