Your Role as Senior Investment Analyst

As a senior member of our underwriting team, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our Government Receivables strategy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deep Dive Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective credit investments, meticulously analyzing financial statements, industry trends, and underlying collateral.
  • Investment Recommendations: Prepare compelling and well-supported written investment recommendations for senior team members, showcasing your analytical prowess and insightful perspectives.
  • Origination Support: Collaborate with the origination team to identify and cultivate relationships with target counterparties across diverse industries and asset types.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support investment recommendations, track ongoing investments, and evaluate portfolio performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with colleagues across the strategy and company in various areas, including origination, underwriting, structuring, portfolio management, operations, technology, and marketing.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in finance, law, or consulting. Ideally, you will have experience in the government receivables space. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, economics, law). Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in law, finance/credit, or advisory/consulting.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and/or asset and enterprise valuation.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and teams, while also being comfortable working independently on solo projects for extended periods.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Bonus Points

The following qualifications are considered a plus:

  • Firsthand experience (as an attorney, analyst, or banker/consultant) with government contractors or receivables.
  • Prior extended experience at a hybrid or remote-first organization.
