Opportunity: Senior Project Manager, Agency Delivery
Are you a seasoned project management expert with a passion for driving successful outcomes in the dynamic world of healthcare advertising? Do you thrive on leading complex initiatives, navigating challenges, and being the central hub for project success?
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day operations and delivery of strategic, creative, and technical projects across one or multiple brands. Your expertise will ensure projects move seamlessly from concept to completion, acting as the essential nucleus that brings cross-functional teams together.
What You’ll Master: Core Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you won’t just manage tasks; you’ll lead the charge, orchestrating projects with finesse and precision:
- Command the full lifecycle delivery for complex, strategic, creative, and technical projects.
- Develop, manage, and meticulously track project plans, including timelines, estimates, risk registers, and change logs, operating with minimal oversight.
- Champion the estimation process, providing crucial budget and staffing parameters.
- Lead project kickoffs and status meetings, fostering clear communication and alignment.
- Craft or oversee the creation and distribution of actionable meeting recaps, mentoring junior project staff.
- Collaborate with Account and Finance partners to support financial forecasting, monthly billing, and analysis.
- Contribute to the development of Scopes of Work (SOWs) and manage change orders in partnership with account teams and leadership.
- Provide valuable input into program-level planning instruments like Gantt Charts.
What You’ll Bring: Skills & Experience
We’re looking for a proven leader with a solid foundation and the ability to navigate complexity:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) role.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or advertising agency sectors is strongly preferred (AOR or DAOR experience is a plus).
- Advanced understanding and practical application of PMO standards, processes, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading the delivery of complex projects spanning technology, strategy, and creative domains.
- Ability to develop detailed project plans for diverse project types (creative-heavy, technical-heavy, strategic initiatives).
- A knack for tailoring project processes to proactively solve problems and facilitate efficient project flow.
- Experience leading and collaborating effectively with a wide range of functional groups and project teams.
- Strong comprehension of project financial forecasting and reforecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Expert-level skills in project and program burn analysis and developing remediation strategies.
- Exceptional proficiency in scope and change management, ensuring strict adherence.
- Comfort and confidence in client-facing communications.
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to anticipating, assessing, and mitigating risk.
- The ability to build trust, negotiate, and influence stakeholders including Account teams, Subject Matter Experts, Clients, Partner Agencies, and third-party vendors.
- A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and decisiveness, especially in uncertain situations.
- Hands-on experience with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as Workfront, Workfront Proof, Smartsheet, or MS Project.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience is required.
- Prior experience with launch initiatives is a significant asset.
