What You’ll Do

As a Senior Project Manager at Insomniac Games, your contributions will be crucial to the success of your assigned game area. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the creation and execution of the game area’s roadmap and milestone schedule, aligning closely with the Project Director’s vision and overall project goals.
• Acting as the central point of communication, ensuring the development team is consistently informed about progress, updates, and changes.
• Driving process improvement initiatives and refining production methodologies and tools within your area, in partnership with production peers.
• Collaborating extensively with cross-discipline Directors, Leads, and team members to proactively identify and resolve production challenges.
• Conducting thorough risk analysis, escalating potential issues appropriately, and working collaboratively with experts to assess urgency and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensuring that all scheduled deliverables within your game area are completed to expected standards and meet the objectives of each milestone and project phase.
• Maintaining a clear understanding of the status and quality of game content as part of the delivery strategy.
• Providing guidance, mentorship, and direction on production best practices to other Project Managers within your game area, ensuring alignment with studio standards and project priorities.
• Consistently embodying Insomniac’s core values and demonstrating strong cultural leadership through collaborative relationships across the studio.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support production goals.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a seasoned production professional with a passion for game development. To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• Extensive experience as a Project Manager in the video game industry, preferably at a Senior level.
• A deep understanding of game development pipelines and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency with project management software, including Jira or other industry-standard bug tracking databases, and working knowledge of version control systems like Perforce.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent project management tools.
• Exceptional ability to identify and solve complex problems effectively, both independently and through collaboration.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and work effectively within large, cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership skills, capable of guiding team efforts and making informed decisions to achieve desired outcomes.
• A talent for building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Bonus Points

• Experience working with co-development partners.
• Experience specifically managing mission production or content-focused development.

Salary Range & Benefits

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Base pay is one component of our total compensation package. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location, as well as additional compensation components, such as annual bonus, profit sharing, and other incentive plans.
