The Opportunity: Senior Python Backend Engineer

We’re seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Python Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling the core infrastructure that powers our revolutionary Real-Time AI applications, including our SDK and cutting-edge TTS engine. This role requires a deep understanding of performance, reliability, and scalability in a fast-paced AI environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance Python 3.11 / FastAPI / asyncio based APIs and Microservices powering our core platform and TTS engine.
• Integrate and scale real-time audio-video components (WebRTC, WebSockets) with a critical focus on maintaining ultra-low latency (< 300 ms).
• Architect and implement robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions leveraging AWS (EKS, Fargate), employing IaC (Terraform) and establishing efficient CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive observability solutions using tools like Prometheus and Grafana, ensuring adherence to defined SLOs.
• Foster seamless collaboration with our MERN and DevOps teams to facilitate continuous and efficient deployments.
• Actively mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews, championing best practices and code quality.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience building and shipping production-grade backend systems using Python.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing highly concurrent and performant systems (e.g., using asyncio, multiprocessing, profiling techniques).
• Professional proficiency in English and ability to work effectively within a CET ± 2 hours time zone overlap.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have):

• Prior experience with audio/video streaming technologies or Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems.
• Familiarity with LLMs, machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, Transformers, or ONNX Runtime.
• Exposure to high-performance languages like Rust or Go for critical path optimization.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end feature development in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
