What You’ll Do as a Senior Revenue Accountant
As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for accurate and timely revenue recognition across our diverse product offerings. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, analyze financial data, and document key business processes.
- Revenue Analysis & Reconciliation: Perform in-depth analysis of monthly revenue streams, reconcile unbilled accruals, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
- ASC 606 Compliance: Review contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 standards.
- Reporting & Disclosure: Assist in preparing revenue reporting packages, including flux analysis, deep dives, and revenue-related disclosures.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for revenue and contra-revenue accounting.
- Problem Solving: Support decision-making and resolve complex revenue-related accounting issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to provide guidance on contractual arrangements and the impact of business decisions.
- Audit Support: Assist with US GAAP audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
- System Implementation: Assist with system upgrades and implementations as needed.
- Cross-Functional Projects: Contribute to various cross-functional projects, leveraging your accounting expertise.
What Makes You a Successful Candidate?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of revenue accounting principles and a passion for continuous improvement. You should possess:
- A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition.
- Solid knowledge of ASC 606 and internal control best practices.
- Excellent written, oral communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with good business acumen.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and achieve success with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional documentation skills with the ability to be clear and concise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (intermediate to advanced).
- Eagerness to take on new tasks and projects.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
