Senior/Staff Security Engineer – Secure the Future of DeFi
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior/Staff Security Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the security and resilience of our platform as we continue to grow and innovate. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our users and the integrity of our systems in the dynamic crypto and DeFi landscape.
Location: Outside of the USA and within 5+ hours of GMT
Your Role: Defending the Decentralized World
As a Senior/Staff Security Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of securing the next generation of decentralized financial technology. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of building and maintaining our platform’s security infrastructure, encompassing both on-chain and off-chain components.
You will be involved in every layer of security, from threat modeling and incident response to developing automation tools that streamline our operations. You’ll collaborate closely with our development, DevOps, and product teams, embedding security into the DNA of our products while proactively anticipating and mitigating emerging threats. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and implementing robust security architectures and features for both on-chain and off-chain components.
- Identifying and mitigating risks through threat modeling, security hardening, and vulnerability assessments across the full tech stack.
- Leading incident response efforts, acting as the primary point of contact for security incidents.
- Conducting regular penetration testing and forensic investigations.
- Developing security tools and automation scripts to enhance the efficiency of our security operations.
- Integrating security best practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
- Staying abreast of emerging security trends and technologies.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
We’re looking for a talented security professional with:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a security engineering or DevSecOps role.
- Demonstrated expertise in full-stack software security (back-end, front-end, and DevOps).
- Proficiency in designing and implementing robust security architectures for cloud-based systems.
- Strong experience in securing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in intrusion detection, forensic investigation, and leading security incident response.
- A strong understanding of security frameworks, principles, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to convey security requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in Threat Detection and Response, and Endpoint Security is highly desirable.
- Experience with crypto/web3 technologies, including smart contract audits, is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, Sec+, or similar are a plus.
Compensation
$150,000 – $200,000 a year
