We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer to be a key technical advisor in the Israeli territory. In this dynamic pre-sales role, you will be instrumental in driving opportunities by providing deep technical expertise and designing innovative solutions based on Extreme Networks’ cutting-edge portfolio.

What You’ll Do

In this high-impact role, you will be the trusted technical face of Extreme Networks. Your responsibilities will include: providing expert technology and product consulting; delivering captivating, in-depth technical presentations to diverse audiences (customers, prospects, and channel partners); offering comprehensive technical sales support for key opportunities; leading the technical charge on RFI/RFP responses; orchestrating and conducting impactful Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements; and meticulously designing technical solutions tailored to intricate customer needs. You will also contribute actively as a specialist within virtual teams, collaborating across the organization. Expect domestic and potentially international travel as required.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Experience)

You possess strong knowledge of the Israeli market and demonstrate exceptional presentation skills, fluent in both Hebrew and English.

A proven, successful pre-sales engineering track record within the industry and the Israeli territory in a similar position is necessary.

You have a sound, practical understanding of core networking technologies, including: Layer 2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing concepts, Overlay networking, VPNs, Wi-Fi operation and design, and fundamental Network security principles.

Experience and practical knowledge in these areas are highly advantageous: Cloud technologies and Cloud-based network management platforms, Compute and network virtualization, Network management and orchestration software, SD-WAN, and Automation scripting and APIs.

You have the ability to seamlessly integrate and contribute as part of customer project teams for design work and PoC labs, effectively defining criteria for success. You demonstrate tenacity and perseverance, acting as a strong customer advocate internally within Extreme. Your skill in building, developing, and nurturing a robust network of contacts at customer and partner organizations allows you to establish yourself as a trusted technical advisor, independent of sales cycles. You have a willingness and capability to step into a team-lead role for the account team if business growth requires additional resources. Essential experience working closely with partners, including providing technical training on products, is a requirement. Significant major account experience and a proven ability to contribute to closing complex deals are necessary. You also possess the ability to analyze and articulate knowledge and understanding of future technology trends and market directions. Experience supporting customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design requirements is expected, and good general hands-on lab experience is a definite plus.

While Extreme Networks certifications are desirable, they are not mandatory. Recognized industry certifications are a plus.
