Your Impact & Day-to-Day

As a Freelance SEO Content Editor & Writer, you will be instrumental in scaling our content efforts focused on a specialized audience of professional services providers (like accountants, mortgage brokers, and insurance agents). This is a high-volume role where precision and efficiency are key. Your primary focus will be taking draft articles and elevating them to publication-ready status.

Specifically, you will:

Refine Content: Edit and proofread a significant volume of blog articles weekly, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency, and relevance to our target professional audience. You’ll be the guardian of quality.

Optimize for Search: Implement fundamental SEO best practices directly within the content. This includes optimizing titles (H1), refining subheadings (H2, H3), crafting compelling meta descriptions, and strategically incorporating keywords to improve search visibility.

Prepare for Publication: Utilize our Content Management System (CMS) to format and publish finalized articles, following our internal style guide and formatting standards for online readability.

Who We’re Looking For

We value skill, efficiency, and a passion for creating valuable content. The ideal candidate will possess:

Sharp Editing Prowess: The ability to edit content quickly and effectively, delivering polished, error-free copy consistently.

Experience with Content Workflow: Hands-on experience refining and updating draft blog posts.

Practical SEO Knowledge: A solid grasp of on-page SEO fundamentals and how to apply them.

Tool Familiarity: Experience using editing tools like Grammarly, plagiarism checkers, and ideally, some exposure to SEO tools (like Surfer SEO) and Content Management Systems (like Netlify CMS).

Portfolio of Proof: Work samples that demonstrate your ability to edit and optimize content specifically for both search engine performance and reader engagement.

Fluent English: Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

While a degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is valuable, we absolutely welcome candidates with equivalent real-world experience!
