Social Media Marketing Specialist: Amplify Our Client’s Voice in Freight Forwarding

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Marketing Specialist to manage and elevate the social media presence of one of our valued freight forwarding clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to directly impact their brand positioning, drive client acquisition, and establish them as a thought leader in the industry. Your Mission: Connect, Engage, and Convert

As our Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Social Media Planning: Developing a comprehensive social media strategy perfectly aligned with the freight company’s brand identity and sales objectives.
  • Content Calendar Creation: Building a robust content calendar focused on client acquisition, demonstrating thought leadership, and building brand trust.
  • Channel Identification: Determining the optimal social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and relevant industry groups) to reach the target audience.

Crafting Compelling Content & Engaging the Community

Key responsibilities include:

  • Content Creation & Execution: Producing and publishing engaging social content, including industry updates, service highlights, impactful case studies, compelling client testimonials, informative infographics, and captivating videos.
  • Simplifying Complexities: Translating intricate freight forwarding expertise (e.g., customs clearance, import/export compliance, shipment tracking) into easily digestible and appealing posts for potential clients.
  • Storytelling: Crafting compelling narratives to showcase the company’s successes, highlight client wins, and emphasize the reliability of their services.
  • Engagement & Community Management: Actively engaging with followers, prospective clients, and industry influencers online, monitoring mentions, promptly responding to comments and inquiries, and participating in relevant logistics-related conversations, LinkedIn groups, and communities to enhance brand visibility.

Analytics & Optimization

You’ll also be responsible for:

  • Performance Tracking: Monitoring social media performance across all platforms, tracking key metrics such as impressions, engagement, reach, and conversions.
  • Reporting: Providing insightful monthly reports to both the client’s leadership and Expedock, outlining campaign performance and key takeaways.
  • Optimization: Continuously optimizing posting schedules, content formats, and messaging based on data-driven insights to maximize campaign effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of proven social media marketing experience (B2B experience is a significant plus).
  • A strong understanding of the freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industry (highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Canva, Buffer/Hootsuite.
  • Exceptional copywriting and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging and informative content.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple content streams simultaneously.
