About the Opportunity

This is a Full-Time Software Engineer role offered on a contract basis, open to candidates globally. You have the freedom to work any hours from anywhere in the world, offering true flexibility.

You’ll be working within a codebase that we pride ourselves on: it’s clean, well-tested, and well-architected, making it genuinely fun and efficient to work in. You’ll love how quickly you can contribute and ship impactful features!

Compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from $30 to $70 per hour, depending on your experience level and the skills you demonstrate.

The Jump Hiring Journey

We’ve refined our hiring process to be efficient yet thorough, typically taking about a week from start to finish. It’s designed to help us find engineers with the right blend of experience, aptitude, and attitude.

Step 1: The Screening Test
We’ll send you a link for a 30-minute task. You’ll need to record your screen as you build a simple application.

Step 2: The Real-World Project Challenge
If you successfully complete the screening, you’ll be invited to a take-home challenge. You’ll have 48 hours to build a real feature that we actually need, deploying it as your own working application. We are all in on the use of AI for development and strongly encourage you to leverage AI tools to help you create this app. We’re looking for candidates who can make the most of these powerful assistants!

We believe in compensating for excellent work. Anyone who successfully completes this challenge perfectly, delivering a complete, deployed, and fully working application meeting all requirements within the 48-hour deadline, will be paid $3,000. If you are hired, your very first task will be to use the code you developed during this challenge to finish building the feature within our main application.

While the process is rigorous, it helps us find truly exceptional talent. To give you an idea: based on past rounds, out of approximately 140 initial screening invites, about 10 candidates typically complete the screening, around 7 submit the project, resulting in roughly 4 people earning the $3,000 payment for a perfect submission, and leading to an average of 2 amazing hires per round.

Step 3: Final Conversation
If your project submission is successful and your code looks great, the final step is a brief chat with our CTO.
