The Opportunity
As a React Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will collaborate with a talented team to deliver exceptional results while adhering to best practices and contributing to a positive and respectful work environment. This position requires availability Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST).
Responsibilities
- Planning & Collaboration: Adapt to dynamic environments, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and clients.
- Requirements Gathering: Review project objectives, input data, and output requirements to confirm project scope.
- Estimation: Provide accurate estimates based on requirements, wireframes, and designs.
- Proactive Communication: Own project success by proactively communicating risks, known issues, and changelogs.
- Development Lifecycle: Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Code Quality: Write code that conforms to best practices, appreciate the value of well-tested code, and perform peer code reviews.
- Defect Prevention: Create projects that are free of major defects.
- Positive Interaction: Maintain a positive and respectful tone in all interactions.
- Continuous Learning: Research new libraries, techniques, and ideas to enhance your skills and contribute to innovation.
- Community Engagement: Support local community events and initiatives.
- Knowledge Sharing: Interested in publishing blog posts showcasing your technical expertise.

Qualifications
Required:
- Alignment with our Corporate Values Statement.

- Embrace the principles of open source.
- JavaScript Expertise: 3+ years of experience with JavaScript.
- React/NextJS Proficiency: 2+ years of experience with React or NextJS.
- API Development: REST APIs development and deployment experience.
- Data Modeling: JSON modeling and usage skills.
- Database Interaction: Querying and modeling using a relational data store.
- Package Management: Experience using package managers such as npm or pip.
- Version Control: Proficiency using Git for source control.
- Testing: Experience in TDD and/or BDD, and strives to enhance project test coverage.
Nice to Have:
- AWS Certifications: AWS Certifications or willingness to obtain them.
- Generative AI Interest: Interest in Generative AI technologies.
