What You’ll Do: Shaping the Future of Secure Collaboration

As a Software Engineer at Sendent, you won’t just write code; you’ll play a key role in building and enhancing our platform that connects Microsoft 365 and Nextcloud for enhanced security and privacy. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining robust and secure applications using modern technologies like Node.js and TypeScript.
• Collaborating closely with product and design teams to translate user needs into intuitive, privacy-respecting features.
• Solving challenging technical problems with creative and persistent approaches.
• Writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, actively contributing to code reviews and documentation.
• Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement within the codebase, product functionality, and team processes.

What You’ll Bring: Skills & Experience

We’re seeking a Software Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for secure development. While we value formal education, we equally appreciate proven experience and a hunger to learn.

Essential Qualifications:

• Solid proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with standard Git workflows and collaborative coding practices.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• A creative and persistent mindset, someone who enjoys figuring things out and seeing projects through.
• Based in the Netherlands and comfortable traveling to our office in Den Bosch approximately twice per month for team collaboration days.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):

• Familiarity with other relevant technologies such as PHP, Vue.js, C#/.NET, or modern unit testing frameworks.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup or a small, agile team environment.
• Relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience and coding education.
• Contributions to open-source projects or compelling personal development projects.
• A proactive, curious, and collaborative attitude, eager to learn new things and contribute to the team’s success.
